What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is a form of manual therapy that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue. The primary goal of massage therapy is to enhance a person’s overall well-being and promote relaxation, stress relief, and the release of tension in the muscles.
Massage therapists use various techniques and strokes to apply pressure, knead, and manipulate the body’s soft tissues. The therapist may use their hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, or even specialised tools during a massage.
